Privacy Agreement
This page is used to inform application users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service, including the AI-related functions newly added to our two products: easy free pdf converter + AI and Pdf Converter Pro + AI.
Personal Data Collection
We do not collect, look into any data from your files when you use the basic PDF conversion functions. However, when you use the AI-related functions (including but not limited to AI-based PDF content analysis, editing, translation, summarization, and other AI-powered features) of easy free pdf converter + AI and Pdf Converter Pro + AI, we will collect the minimum necessary data required to provide such AI services, which is limited to the content you actively submit for AI processing (e.g., the PDF content you choose to analyze or edit via AI) and relevant operation information (e.g., AI function type selected, operation time). We will not collect any other personal information or file data without your explicit consent, in line with the principle of minimizing data collection.
AI Service and Third-Party Model Disclosure
To provide you with high-quality AI-related functions, our two products (easy free pdf converter + AI and Pdf Converter Pro + AI) use the online large model provided by Baidu Qianfan Large Model (hereinafter referred to as "Baidu Qianfan Model"), a third-party AI service provider. We have strictly reviewed the privacy protection standards of Baidu Qianfan Model and signed a formal cooperation agreement with Baidu, requiring Baidu to comply with relevant laws, regulations and this Privacy Agreement, and to take effective measures to protect the security of your data used for AI services.
Before you use any AI-related functions for the first time, we will explicitly inform you of the use of Baidu Qianfan Model and the relevant data processing rules, and obtain your explicit consent. You have the right to refuse to use AI-related functions, and refusing to use such functions will not affect your use of the basic PDF conversion functions of the products. You can also disable the AI-related functions at any time in the app settings, and we will immediately stop collecting and transmitting any data related to AI services after you disable them[5][7].
Sharing Your Data
We do not share your data or files with any third parties when you use the basic PDF conversion functions. When you use the AI-related functions, the data you actively submit for AI processing (e.g., PDF content for AI analysis) will be transmitted to Baidu Qianfan Model only for the purpose of providing the requested AI service, and will not be shared with any other third parties. We will not authorize Baidu Qianfan Model to use your data for model training, optimization or any other purposes unrelated to the AI service you requested, unless otherwise required by law or with your explicit additional consent[6].
Keeping your Data
We do not backup any data or files when you use the basic PDF conversion functions. For the data collected for AI-related services (e.g., the PDF content you submit for AI processing and relevant operation information), we will only retain it for the minimum period necessary to complete the AI service you requested. After the AI service is completed, we will delete the relevant data in a timely manner, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations. Baidu Qianfan Model will also delete the relevant data in accordance with the cooperation agreement and its own privacy policy after completing the AI service processing[6].
Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app or service (including errors occurring when using AI-related functions), we collect data and information called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your file type, file size, error description, the time and date of your use of the Service, and the AI function type being used when the error occurred. We collect Log Data only for the purpose of troubleshooting, optimizing the app and AI service performance, and improving user experience, and we will not use Log Data for any other purposes or disclose it to any third parties except as required by law.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. For the data related to AI services, we will adopt encryption technology during transmission to ensure that the data is not intercepted, tampered with or leaked during transmission. We also require Baidu Qianfan Model to take corresponding security protection measures to protect the security of your data. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We will promptly notify you and take corresponding remedial measures in accordance with laws and regulations if a data security incident occurs.
Your Rights
You have the right to know the details of data collection and use related to AI services, to request access to, correct, supplement or delete the data we collect for AI services, and to withdraw your consent to the use of AI services at any time. If you need to exercise the above rights, please contact us through the contact information provided in this Privacy Agreement, and we will verify your identity and respond to your request in a timely manner in accordance with relevant laws and regulations[3].
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time, especially when there are changes to the AI service content or relevant laws and regulations. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page. If the updated content involves significant changes to the processing of your personal information related to AI services, we will additionally notify you through prominent channels such as app pop-ups to ensure you are fully informed.
